His Excellency the President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio and entourage have today 17th April 2023 formally launched and turn the sod for the construction of Gendema Bridge that connect Simbaru and Wandor Chiefdom in Kenema District. The Gendema Bridge provides direct South-North linkage to the East-West highways running in parallel between Kailahun and Freetown; and between Freetown and Kiodu; which induces better connectivity between these two main corridors. The 121.5 meter bridge once constructed, will have positive impacts on the local economy of the communities.
